SRBS of Houston: Community Safety & Guidelines

Welcome to the SRBS of Houston community app. Our goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and positive digital space for all members of our community to connect and share.

To achieve this, we require all users to adhere to the following safety standards and guidelines.

Our Commitment to Safety

SRBS of Houston is committed to maintaining a safe environment, especially for our younger members. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any content or behavior that exploits or endangers children.

Community Rules

By using this app, you agree not to post, share, or engage in any of the following:

Child Endangerment: We have a zero-tolerance policy for any content that facilitates or promotes Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). This includes all Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
Hate Speech & Discrimination: Content that promotes or condones violence, or that attacks or demeans an individual or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.
Bullying & Harassment: Any form of targeting, intimidation, threats, or harassment against other community members.
Sexually Explicit Content: Any content that is pornographic or overtly sexual in nature.
Violence & Illegal Activities: Content that threatens, promotes, or graphically depicts violence, self-harm, or any illegal activities.
Spam & Scams: Posting repetitive, unwanted content or attempting to defraud or mislead community members.
Impersonation: Pretending to be another person or entity.
Private Information: Posting someone else's private information (like a phone number, home address, or private email) without their explicit consent.

Enforcement

To protect our community, the SRBS of Houston admin team reserves the right to take action on any content or user that violates these guidelines.

Our admin team actively monitors content and reviews all user reports.

Violating these rules may result in your content being removed, your account being suspended, or a permanent ban from the app.

We comply with all applicable child safety laws. We will take appropriate action, including reporting any confirmed Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) to the U.S. National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant regional authorities.

How to Report a Concern

Your safety is our priority. If you see any content or a user that makes you feel unsafe or violates our rules, please report it immediately.

You can report a concern directly within the app by:

Navigating to the app's main menu or settings page.

Tapping on the "Report a Safety Concern" button.

This will allow you to send a direct message to our admin team, who will review your report and take appropriate action. You can also report concerns by emailing us at safety@srbshouston.org.
